Many providers of advice are genuine and helpful in particular cases.
But still problems persist for the majority of couples. The advice is not working. In my opinion the problems most people
face today in relationships are fundamentally due to misunderstanding but NOT just misunderstanding the opposite sex.
In my book I argue we don’t know the significance of
the behavior of our own sex or of ourselves in matters of relationships. Society’s ideals don’t match our experiences
yet due to the constant bombardment of the media we have been convinced society is right. I present a generalised outline of the development of men and women and discuss many
topics which are taboo and therefore not dealt with in popular literature.
